Taylor's journey to fame began on YouTube. She started by making ASMR videos with her smartphone. After achieving 50,000 subscribers approximately 1 1/2 months after the upload of her first video she was featured in a video about gaming created by PewDiePie. Taylor had stopped making videos around 2 months when she was able to count more than 100000 followers. She put all her videos in private due to technical issues with her new technology. After a month long break, she began making videos in the new year, such as the well-known ASMR 10 Triggers to Help You sleep (35 million views as of the month of August, 2022). In July 2017, she posted another very popular video ASMR 20 Triggers to help you sleep (38 million views at the month of August, 2022). In August 2017, Shane Dawson featured her during an interview. She also reached 1,000,000 subscribers shortly after. Wired UK calculated that she earned $1,000 per each day through her YouTube Channel from February to March 2019.

Dennis Helfer (born in Donalda, Alberta) and Elaine Helfer (born in Donalda, Alberta), were his parents. The family's ancestry includes German, English. Swedish and Norwegian. She attended William E. Hay Composite High School situated in Stettler. The three sisters she shares with lived on their family's wheat farm. In the age of 17 years old, a scout for models at an agency spotted Helfer as she waited at the front of a line for entry into a movie.
